I filed for bankruptcy at twenty-two.

I spent thirty years performing fine while quietly carrying things I could not even put words to.

And somewhere in my thirties, with three children at my feet and a magnetic calendar on the fridge that I was using to outwit a gaslighter, I made a decision.
